About Us

Dryads Dancing is named after the legendary tree nymph which according to legend could be seen dancing around the trees in the mystical forest.   Our owner, Margaret, has been making reclaimed wood furniture, art & home decor by hand at our local factory in Chamblee, GA since 1983.  Often the wood comes to use from a torn down barn or other wood building that has sentimental family meaning.  The owners are overjoyed to see the beautiful wood that has been a significant part of their history turned into beautiful reclaimed wood furniture or home decor instead of being destroyed. As we like to say "the   Dryads has created thousands of unique original salvaged wood pieces such as reclaimed wood headboards, dressers, wall decor, salvaged wood picture frames and other whimsical wood art in the shape of guitars, hearts, fish, angels, birds and more.  All of our designs are inspired by  the materials. Wood with layers of paint that can identify the decade by the color as the sanding takes off layers. And tin that has been keeping a barn full of animals or food for animals dry for years and years. These materials are wonderful as well as eco-friendly & incredibly beautiful.  Our line of coastal designs include beautiful colors painted on reclaimed wood in an ocean like palette of colors.   Selling reclaimed wood furniture, picture frames & home decor wholesale to unique furniture stores, gift shops and retail studios is the cornerstone of our business.   We have a small gift shop at our Chamblee factory where we welcome visitors.
